No two clients
share a genome
.
We do not build websites. We engineer brand systems, and every one is derived, never decorated. Below: two real clients, the same method, two systems that share nothing.
Dr. David E. Jackson II
High-contrast serif command. Slow, weighted reveals. A bespoke heraldic crest.
OGYN
Heavy, physical display type. Content emerges from black. A seam-stitch hairline motif.
Genome → Derivation → Expression.
The Genome
Six inputs, extracted in discovery. The raw truth of the brand.
The Derivation
The studio's IP: the logic that turns inputs into design decisions.
The Expression
Ten outputs that compose the client's complete, unrepeatable system.
The law: no code, no layout, no “let's just start”, until the Design DNA is written and signed. The DNA is the contract for the look.
Six questions locate a brand in a space no competitor occupies.
- Industry. “What does your category look like, and what does it look like at its worst?”
- Founder personality. “If the brand walked into a room, who is it, and how does it carry itself?”
- Brand positioning. “What do you do that the next-best option cannot?”
- Emotional tone. “When someone lands, what should their body feel in three seconds?”
- Audience. “Who is the one person this must move, and where are they when they see it?”
- Competitive landscape. “Show me five competitors. What do they ALL do?”
Same method. Zero overlap.
Case 01 · Executive Coaching
Dr. David E. Jackson II
Not motivation, transformation for high-achievers who already know. “Close the gap between knowing and doing.”
- Anti-pattern broken
- No bright “approachable” gradient, no smiling stock, no rounded friendly sans, deep navy authority, formal portraiture, high-contrast serif command instead.
- Typography
- High-contrast serif for command, restrained sans for counsel. Signature: wide-tracked small-caps section labels.
- Motion
- Slow, weighted, deliberate. Nothing bounces, authority doesn't hurry.
- The signature move
- The House of Jackson crest, a bespoke heraldic system no other coach can wear.
Case 02 · Identity-Apparel
OGYN
Identity-apparel as evidence, not costume. “OGYN doesn't sell you a self, it confirms the one you already built.”
- Anti-pattern broken
- No greige quiet-luxury palette, no distant editorial lookbook, no drop/countdown hype, near-black gravity, real texture and wear, restraint as the flex instead.
- Typography
- Heavy, physical display, the feel of a stamped die. A quiet grotesque for body, legible one-handed at 11pm.
- Motion
- Screen holds black a beat, then the headline settles up out of the dark, felt before seen.
- The signature move
- A seam/stitch hairline as the structural divider motif, the garment's construction, built into the site itself.
Change any input, the industry, the founder, the audience, and the system changes. That's the DNA at work, not a template with new colors.
Differentiation is engineered and verified, not hoped for.
- The Differentiation Audit. We map the category's shared visual conventions, the sea of sameness, and commit, on the record, to breaking at least three in this client's DNA.
- The Signature Move. Every client receives one element that exists nowhere else in the studio's body of work: a custom face, a crest, a grid break, a motion gesture. The un-copyable fingerprint.
- The DNA Ledger. Every genome and expression is logged. A new DNA is checked against the ledger, collisions on type, palette, or layout dialect are disqualifying. The system cannot repeat itself.
What does your brand refuse to look like?
That question is where every engagement starts. The Design DNA session runs before a single line of code is written.
